The T Room

Known as “the chicest place to lunch in Dallas” and it holds up to this claim. The T Room, located in the back of the couture boutique, Forty Five Ten. The T Room is filled with the fabulous women of Highland Park. Louboutins and Birkins put my Cole Haan’s to shame. Continue reading

Gabrielle Wilde

New girl crush, anyone?

Last weekend I saw Endless Love. The entire time, I was just in awe at Jade’s (Wilde) natural beauty. She barely wore any make-up the entire move and was simply flawless and genuine. You can just tell this is a girl that you want to be your new best friend.

Yes, she’s an heiress to an aristocratic English family but that doesn’t mean she’s sitting back. She was found at the age of 14 and signed with Premier Modeling Agency. Wilde made her acting debut in 2008 but did not really have her bug break until 2013 with her role as Sue in Carrie. She’s pretty new in the acting world and she’s definitely here to stay!

Read this and tell me that everyone of these isn’t true

The 46 Signs That Your Best Friend Is Really Your Best Friend Forever

Best Dressed

I was very unimpressed by the red carpet showing at the 2014 Academy Awards. Usually, there are a couple of show-stopping dresses but this year felt flat. I always love watching the Fashion Police Oscars Special, where Joan Rivers rips on the worst AND best looks of the show.

This years chart topper for the “Fashold of the Year” is starring Liza Minnelli, sporting a royal blue, silk pantsuit.

A fan favorite was Lupita Nyong’o, dressed in Prada. This was her Academy Awards debut and a winning one at that. She delivered a tear-jerking speech after receiving her award for Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years a Slave.

This powder blue color of this gown was a brilliant contrast to her skin tone. The dress was a perfect cut for her athletic body type. The deep V and thick straps highlighted her excellently toned chest and arms.

I give this rookie a 10!

After I’ve fully indulged over the Marti Gras holiday, lent always comes at the perfect time. Time for a cleansing of the mind, soul, and body.

Tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, I will being my mission of having a diet free of artificial sweeteners for the next 30 days. My largest vice, Diet Coke is the main issue of concern, saying as I am a phonetic but it goes against all my beliefs towards living a healthy/ natural life. This also entails nixing anything that says “light”, “sugar free”, “skinny”, “diet”, all artificial sweeteners (i.e. Splenda, Equal), gum, and many more!

This is going to be quite the challenge but it is all in the name of Jesus, right?

Mardi Gras

It’s gone. My Mardi Gras virginity. Coming to New Orleans this weekend, I had high expectations of this notoriously crazy event. So far, it has exceeded all assumptions I had.

Friday, first drink at 11am, last drink at 1am. Now that’s what I call a marathon. I had my first poboy, watched the parades on Canal Street, went to Bourbon Street, went to crawfish boil, and walked roughly 10 miles. I would say that I have done New Orleans right.

Conclusion from the weekend, Natalie Scott cannot hang when it comes to Mardi Gras. th
